Can I Sleep in My Compression Garment?
Explains that overnight wear depends on the stage of recovery and the surgeon's protocol.
Overnight Wear
Whether you should wear the garment at night depends on your stage of recovery and your surgeon's protocol. Daytime and overnight wear may be recommended for many patients early on.
Overnight wear may be reduced in later weeks. Your surgeon decides when to make this change.
Sleeping Comfortably
If you experience discomfort at night, first check that the garment is fitted correctly and the fabric is not rolled. Rolled fabric may cause more noticeable discomfort when lying down.
Your sleeping position may also affect comfort. Find a comfortable position within the limits your surgeon has advised.
